The options dialog lets you select a few options for jBrowse:
Dictionary:
Word File
Enter the path to a dictionary file for jBrowse to use. This field should be filled in correctly when jBrowse is installed, but if not, or if you want to make your own dictionary file, you can enter a new path here. The file should be in UCS2 format, NOT in shift-JIS or any other multibyte encoding.
Kanji File
Enter the path to a kanji list file for jBrowse to use. This field should be filled in correctly when jBrowse is installed, but if not, or if you want to make your own dictionary file, you can enter a new path here. The file should be in UCS2 format, NOT in shift-JIS or any other multibyte encoding.
Create English->Japanese index
If this is checked, loading the dictionary will take longer and jBrowse will use up even more memory than it normally does. However, checking this box makes it possible to do English->Japanese dictionary lookups.

Page Enhancements:
Mark Parse Errors
If an HTML page is not perfectly formed, it is possible that jBrowse will come to bits that it can't handle when it tries to enhance the page. If this option is checked, jBrowse will mark these areas of the page by adding {{jBrowse: ?}} to the text.
Furigana: Don't use <RUBY> tag
Some people find the way the browser displays furigana annoying. Such people should check this box, so that furigana are displayed in parentheses after the kanji they refer to.
Definitions: Don't highlight words
For no special reason, jBrowse highlights words in turquoise when it has found a definition for them. Use this check box to prevent jBrowse from doing this, and keep the page turquoise-free.
Definitions: Don't outline current word
When you move the mouse over a word and jBrowse displays a definition for it in the toolbar, the word is outlined in red by default. Use this check box to stop all that.
Definitions: Look Up English Words
If this is checked, then when jBrowse injects definitions into a page, it will try and find Japanese definitions for English words, instead of just ignoring English words.
Other:
Automatically Look Up Selected Word
If this very useful option is turned on, then when you select some text in the web page, that text is automatically sent to the dictionary and looked up. Thus, you don't need to add definitions to the whole page to take advantage of jBrowse; just select whatever word you are curious about.
